Israel arrests another settler over alleged spying for Iran

TEHRAN, Oct. 4 (MNA) – Israeli security agency, Shin Bet, detained a 23-year-old individual accused of working with Iranian intelligence -the latest in a growing string of espionage cases exposing Tel Aviv regime’s deepening internal fractures.

Israeli Channel 12 reported Saturday that the suspect, employed at a hotel near the Dead Sea, was arrested on accusations of maintaining contact with Iranian intelligence and carrying out security-related missions on their behalf.

Just four days earlier, Hebrew-language media revealed that Shin Bet and Israeli police had detained two 26-year-old men suspected of spying for Iran, Al Jazeera reported.

Authorities claimed the two had filmed military sites in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.

According to the reports, both men were residents of Holon and had initially been detained last August for alleged links to Iranian intelligence services.

Security sources told Israeli regime's media that one of the detainees had been in contact with Iranian handlers since early 2025, conducting several intelligence-gathering missions across occupied Palestinian territories — including filming sensitive military and strategic sites.

Even during the 12-day war in June, the suspect reportedly maintained communication with Iranian handlers and continued his operations, a revelation highlighting the deep penetration of Iranian influence within the so-called Israeli security sphere — a blow to the regime already strained by internal unrest and military failures.
